Imagine you had to flee your country due to war.  Imagine you spent all your life savings just to get from Aleppo Syria and flee to Beirut Lebanon.  After a few months, you have spent all your money.

The war has intensified in your homeland of Syria.  You can’t go back.

Imagine you have applied to be accepted as a refugee to Canada, where you can be reunited with your two sisters and their families.

Imagine you have run out of money and have no money for food while waiting to be processed.

Imagine, YOU, a Canadian citizen can help Lina and her family (4 children and her parents), eat and live in Lebanon.

Yes,  you can make a difference for Syrian Refugees “Stuck in Lebanon”.

Safe Haven for Refugees, Peterborough is a group of 13 volunteers who have already help settle Randa/Mohammad and their four children, plus her sister Linda and her three children in Peterborough.

Only you can help this reunification happen.  Please consider making a one time donation now (click on “Donate Now” on the home page.

Some of us have agreed to do a monthly donation to help raise the $1,300 per month required for Lina and family.  If you wish to do a monthly donation, please e-mail us at and we can arrange to pick up some post dated cheques (made out to Grace United Church).

You too can help.  Please consider making a donation today.

Thank you
